To be totally honest it really isnt a huge suprise to see that slingshot has been cancelled, is it. I mean really who was going to pay $50+ dollars for a line up of that calibre. Not saying that the bands were all shit, rather that promotors really are not that switched on sometimes. This situation reminds me of that festival that was held down south a few years ago in "dumbleyoung" well some large farm at least. I think the fauves and paul kelly played at that one. Did anyone go to that.

i know 50 bux is a hell rip off for a line up of bands you could see at firecracker or a night at amplifier for about 15 bux. i got my tickets for free cuz i fall into the category of "with the band". so that was lucky. im only going for the titanics and eskimo joe .
should be an alrite day. i think not many tickets have bee sold so its gonna be hell spread out at claremont show grounds, they should have had it at joondalup where rockit is normally held. hope its not cancelled. ???
 sick dics if it is.

Yeh, I've heard it about 3 or 4 times today, its rather annoying!
And there is The Dead Ends all ages on sunday at the Pitt (Midland) I think it is 12-6, that's the usual time for a pitt gig anyway.

Yeah and a/a Local 8) Pricks launch in on Saturday with Boredumb, Gyroscope, and, for some reason, Rollerskates, at the Fly By Night Club in Freo.
I haven't been listening to much radio but there was a Slingshot ad during Fists Of Fury on RTR on Tuesday night. So...

Went to go to the local pricks gig on saturday, only there wasn't one. No bands, and not enough people to keep the fly by open. Go the all age gigs.
